  1. Shy, May I say I am so sorry your site closed doen because of Lack of funding , this is shocking. I also want to say you are a fantastic, courageous woman , whom I greatly admire & respect. You have a heart as big as the Atlantic ocean. It,s taken me nearly a week to read your book , because it made me cry so much.Keep doing what you do & never NEVER EVER give up or in.You are an inspiration & in a way you have been a bit of a therapist with me if that makes sense ie you,ve made me see that what happened to me wasn,t my fault & that I didn’t ask to be abused. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you Shy or Karen, whatever you prefer to be called. If I may also say, you don’t know me but I Love you & the wonderful work you do xx

  2. What a wonderful site. I have just read through all your poetry and watched the video. I am in tears, all of you should be very proud of yourselves. It’s more people like you that will help victims. Thank you… A survivor

  3. I find you, and you are near me, would you like me to promote you on my blog, just a thought, thanks for all this great information, I shall share with my kids, keep it going

  4. Hi Innocent Voices,
I would also like to add my own comments to your site – this is a very important work, and you have invested a lot of effort into it.

I wish you all the best for all your hard work and commitment.
    Take care, Tosin

  5. Love your website and would like to be a part of Innocent Voices UK. I am also a huge fan of the United Kingdom. My husband and I were married in May of 2000 in Melrose, Scotland. Our Maid of Honor and Best Man were from Whitley Bay. We were both McKinnons when we met. I would love to have a Lamplighter chapter in the UK. The Lamplighters (which I founded) are a rapidly growing movement for recovery from incest and child sexual abuse. We currently have 40 chapters in six contries.

  6. Please keep up the good work. People forget very easily and don’t realise the lasting effects of child abuse.

A lot of thought has gone into your work, very commendable.
