Conference aims to normalize pedophilia

I have had discussions about this with other survivors. On many levels in society this is happening. Now the psychiatrists and co are doing it. I read the article below and shook my head in disbelief. What chance have children got if there is no crime to answer too.

If a small group of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals have their way at a conference this week, pedophiles themselves could play a role in removing pedophilia from the American Psychiatric Association’s bible of mental illnesses — the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), set to undergo a significant revision by 2013.  Critics warn that their success could lead to the decriminalization of pedophilia.

  2. Pedophilia is not an illness – having it in the DSM makes it so and thus an excuse for the behavior. Sexual attraction to children is not illegal in itself (fantasy), it’s part of the pedophiles make-up. Acting on that attraction is illegal – molestation, grooming, rape, manufacturing – distribution – possession of child pornography, child exploitation.
Pedophilia refers to strictly to pre-pubescent children. Sexual activity with teens post-pubescence is not within the domain of pedophilia.
An active pedophile is not someone who can be tolerated in society as they destroy the lives of children for their own sexual satisfaction, indeed they can destroy an entire family. There are no degrees of tolerance for pedophiles any more than there are degrees of tolerance for a murderer; the rape and molestation of a child, is for some children, described as a kind of murder. Some of their lives are changed completely. Pedophilic offenders commit crimes far in excess to what they admit to – sometimes thousands of times more. Some do escalate in their offending up to and including kidnapping and murder.
It is an abnormal behavior and should be treated as such – not a sickness as much as sickening.
