I’ve dealt with life blows, some well others not.
Right decision wrong reasons or vice versa,
once made it’s instantly the past.
Those words and actions regretted instantly,
hurt and anger the emotions in control.
No power to change an action,
or put words back in my mouth.
Wiser from each I have to face forward.
Learning at times a controlled silence
speaks louder than wounding retaliation,
when hurt people are hurting me.
For the only power I have to change is me.
The only control I can have is self.
