I feel
I feel words like sticks and stones
That breaks the spirit just like bones
That tongue of venom ‘ just your opinion’
Words with poison hard to deflect them
You don’t mind for I don’t matter
It’s only words that you utter
Wear the boots bear the strain
Feel those words that cause the pain
A barrier built that softens your blows
A wall of knowledge that protects as it grows
Those words to hurt and nasty names
Will never break my spirit again.
